NTU Museums currently comprises 11 member museums. Each member belongs to a top-level unit in the University, including administrative units (e.g. NTU Library and Office of General Affairs and academic units (e.g. College of Liberal Arts, College of Science, College of Bioresources and Agriculture, College of Life Science, and College of Medicine). Each member museum maintains autonomy in its operations and has full ownership over their collections. However, general affairs and other matters requiring coordination are undertaken by the NTU Museums Office, which was established under the Operations Division of the Gallery of NTU History.
